BRAT Bride Energy: Charli XCX Gets
Married in Vivienne Westwood
Pop icon Charlotte Aitchison, aka Charli XCX, and The 1975 drummer George Daniel officially tied the knot on July 19, 2025. It was a stylishly understated wedding at Hackney Town Hall in London. The intimate ceremony was attended by about 20 close friends and family.
Footage from the day shows the couple exiting the venue surrounded by confetti, sealing the moment with a kiss on the steps and having a laid-back post‑ceremony smoke break. As the BRAT mother herself, Charli later confirmed on social media with a TikTok that George tearfully took her as his bride.
She made everyone's jaw drop in a Vivienne Westwood “Nova Cora” mini dress, a silk corseted off-the-shoulder masterpiece that draped around her like sculpted satin. The dress was short and BRAT bridal, serving punk-luxe legacy thanks to its perfect balance between elegance and edge. She paired it with white pointed pumps, a classic tulle veil, and her signature oversized black sunglasses.
The look was cheeky, minimal and unmistakably Charli. George Daniel matched the energy with an understated cool black suit and a crisp white open-buttoned shirt, letting his new wife shine.
Later that night, the couple was spotted in post-wedding fits: both rocking black leather jackets, with Charli switching into low-rise, chain-embellished jeans. Even off-duty, they radiated rocker romance. The pair, who started dating after collaborating on music in 2021, made their romance public in 2022 and have become a creative power duo, George contributed production to Charli’s Brat album, while she’s long championed his experimental sound and aesthetic.
Their engagement was announced in late 2023. Their Hackney moment was just the magical beginning of the wedding; a larger celebration is planned for later this year in Sicily and we are already looking forward to it. London town hall and a Westwood dress was only act one. Sicily better be ready.
This BRAT isn’t done yet.
