Meet the Future of Berlin Fashion And It’s Looking Bright
If Berlin Fashion Week had a birth chart, PLATTE’s NEXT GEN would absolutely be in its rising sign: chaotic in the best way, wildly creative, deeply community-driven, and effortlessly cool without trying. While some fashion weeks feel like velvet ropes and closed doors, PLATTE is out here doing the opposite, cracking the door open, blasting techno, and inviting six seriously exciting young designers onto the dance floor.
From January 29 to February 14, 2026, PLATTE.Berlin is once again claiming its role as the kick-off platform of Berlin Fashion Week FW26. But this season, they’ve leveled up. Enter: NEXT GEN Pop-Up & Exhibition, curated by Berlin legend Sven Marquardt. The man who has photographed half of Berlin, guarded its most infamous nightclub, and somehow still finds time to shape the future of fashion. The result? An immersive, experience-driven space where clothes aren’t just displayed, they move, breathe, and exist in conversation with motion design, identity, and Berlin’s unmistakable creative chaos.
But let’s talk about the real stars of the show: the designers.
PLATTE NEXT GEN isn’t just another “young designers showcase.” It’s a carefully curated lineup of six emerging creatives who feel less like “fashion students” and more like tomorrow’s cult brands in the making.

AMIKE STUDIO
There’s AMIKE STUDIO, founded by Aline Amike, bridging Kigali and Berlin through handcrafted accessories that feel both deeply rooted in tradition and undeniably futuristic. Think: heritage with a techno beat.

STUDIO ZEINA
Then there’s STUDIO ZEINA, where Zeina Abouelmaaty weaves Arab heritage into contemporary fashion, exploring identity, belonging, and nostalgia. Her work reads like a love letter to home, but written in avant-garde tailoring.

ASTERIK
Jewelry lovers, meet ASTERIK by Zan Hyang Song: sculptural, emotional, and almost philosophical pieces that feel like wearable poetry. These aren’t just accessories, they’re tiny emotional landscapes for your body..

LUÉSTUDIO
For something more sculptural, Luéstudio by Carina Lue blends organic materials with a post-industrial aesthetic, creating jewelry that looks like it could’ve been excavated from a very chic, very dystopian future.

HASEMAN.N
Haseman.n, led by Niclas Hasemann, takes a quieter, more conceptual approach, think soft movements, poetic silhouettes, and clothes that feel like they whisper rather than shout.
TIMO KURZ
And last but certainly not least, Timo Kurz, whose work sits at the intersection of tailoring, craft, and consciousness. His designs feel methodical, thoughtful, and deeply invested in how garments reshape the body and maybe even how we perceive ourselves.
What makes NEXT GEN truly special isn’t just the talent, it’s the way PLATTE supports them. This isn’t a one-and-done runway moment. Designers get real retail visibility, mentorship from industry heavyweights (hello, jury including Nan Li of Namilia and former YSL insider Lisa Bergstrand), and direct access to media, buyers, and Berlin’s fashion community. In other words: PLATTE isn’t just showing them off, they’re setting them up to win.
If Berlin fashion has a future (spoiler: it absolutely does), it looks bold, experimental, diverse, and a little bit unhinged in the best way and PLATTE NEXT GEN is giving it the stage it deserves. So yeah, meet the new generation of Berlin fashion. They’re here, they’re talented, and they’re not asking for permission. The future of Berlin fashion is here, and it’s bright.
